TIL that at an inventors' luncheon in October 1912, 24-year-old Madeleine Edison, the daughter of Thomas Edison, referred to Nikola Tesla as "our dear friend" and "the largest man I've ever seen", with Tesla standing at 6'2" tall. She described Tesla's interest in her, but she was already engaged.
