TIL in 2000 the LA Zoo had an issue containing two gorillas, Evelyn & Jim, who were both skilled escapists. Evelyn once used a vine to swing across a 12-ft wide moat to spent 90 min watching giraffes & elephants. Previously she swatted a person's behind. Jim once jumped straight over a 12-ft wall.
