TIL that approximately 720,000 twopences and nearly 44,000,000 pennies were issued, all bearing the date 1797. No other dates appear on Cartwheel penny and two-penny pieces. A new series of copper pennies, halfpennies, and farthings was later issued in 1806 and 1807.
