9WoQ TIL before WWII Henry Ford sent thousands of US workers to Soviet Union in order to establish a Ford licenced factory. The project was a huge disaster and the workers were abandoned by Ford and the US government. Most of them died in Soviet gulags, less than a hundred ever came back.
