Naveen Andrews has revealed that Marilyn Manson was a huge fan of Lost.

The British actor - who has played guitar with the metal performer in the past - compared Manson to Alan Partridge's infamous devoted fan.

Asked if he understood the ending of the ABC drama series, he told Daybreak: "I was very confused, just because I never watched the show.

"So when the end came, I had people like Marilyn Manson trying to convince me that we've resolved it really well and it all made sense, he's a real fan.

"He has Hurley's numbers tattooed into his arms. It's a lot like an Alan Partridge thing, like a crazed fan."

Andrews played former Iraqi intelligence officer Sayid Jarrah in Lost for all six seasons of the show, which ended in 2010.

He will soon appear in Sky1's upcoming drama Sinbad, which begins on Sunday, July 8.

The actor plays Lord Akbari, the younger brother of Emir, the ruler of Basra in the series.
