Which actor has the most minifigures?

Thanks for doing with and without voice actors. Mark Hamill would have Joker (voice) as well from Batman cartoon.

Clancy Brown should get bumped to four, as he was Luthor in 'Lego Batman: The Movie'. (He was also Luthor in the Lego DC games, but those weren't part of your criteria).

Dee Bradley Baker also gets bumped for his various Lego movie roles (Martian Manhunter, Man-Bat, etc).

I'd discount most other actors (like Mark Hamill) for their cartoon roles, as their performances aren't related to "official Lego".

Ok. But Magneto in DOFP is the old guy face and that set came out at the same time as the movie - I would argue that counts even though it wasn't labelled as a DOFP movie toy. Marvel doesn't blatantly do specific Lego sets for Fox and Sony movies with the title on the box (Electro and Wolverine sets). Is this also why you don't count James Badge Dale for Dan Reid (Lone Ranger) and Savin / Extremis Soldier from Iron Man 3? He is the guy in the helicopter in the scene that the Malibu set is based off of (you gotta give me one of these).

@tttwlam - Were there any minifigures based directly off of those portrayals? Genuinely curious, because at the moment it seems like those were portrayals based on figures, rather than the other way round.

I thought there would also be a calculation of how many minifigs were manufactured for each person so we would know who has the most minifig versions of themselves out there in the world. I suspect it may be Harrison Ford as there have been a lot of sets sold with him in them.

And Luthor's Lego "black suit and tie" look is directly inspired by the Superman show, as in the comics, he was a portly Kingpin analog before.

Does Temuera Morrison count for boba fett too since he was redubbed for the new and currently only official releases of ESB and ROTJ and you could argue that the carbon freezing chamber is post dubbing... :)

Interesting reading. Where as some minifigures are a clear representation of the actor it is also a case that a lot of the minifigures are not based on the actor at all, this is especially true of voice actors and cartoons. Clearly the physical representation of Bart Simpson isn't based on Nancy Cartwright so I'm glad you separated out the voice acting credits as they do skew the data.

As Andy Serkis plays Gollum in LoTR (albeit animated using elements of motion capture) and also voices the Witch-King should he deserve a 2 minifigure mention?

All the clone troopers also somewhat skew the figures as they are clones & therefore likely to sound similar, hence lots of minifigure credits for Dee Bradley Baker. As Temuera Morrison plays Jango Fett who is the 'father' of all the clone troopers should he not get more than 2 minifigure credits (he did play and voice lots of clones)?

@CapnRex101: That would be a good grounds for exclusion, except as I mentioned, you did include The Lego Movie—and Will Arnett's Batman in particular was not a figure originally designed for that movie or for that specific actor's portrayal.

Silas Carson also played Ki-Adi-Mundi, so thats 3 for him.

All this list is doing's making me adore Dee Bradley Baker's vocal talent and diversity so much more.

@CapnRex101: My point was that the Lego Batman used in the movie and the first year of Lego Movie sets is NOT a unique or original figure design—the entire figure dates back to 2012, two years before The Lego Movie was released. Though I suppose it's fair to argue that the Batman from the second year of Lego Movie sets does specifically represent Will Arnett's portrayal, since that was a unique variant with the distinctive exaggerated facial expressions the movie character rather than just a reused figure from a previous year. It's really just a question of where you draw the line, and considering your argument I suppose your exclusion of Lego-created characters makes sense.

Dee Bradley Baker gets the credits for Commander Gree, but there's also an Ep III minifig version of Gree. In Ep III he was voiced by Temuera Morrison.

Shouldn't Warwick Davis get 4 in the actor only part? As well as voicing Griphook he played him in the final film.

The list for Temuera Morrison feels incomplete. You list Jango, the clones (as a whole), and Commander Gree. What about Captain Jag from set 8088? That's an Episode III set and Jag is distinctly named. Also, Morrison has been the voice of adult Boba in the re-releases of the OT since 2004. Any Boba minifig from an OT set post-2004 should qualify him.

Why isn't Warwick Davis listed with four in the category that excludes voice acting? He plays the part physically, so he should either be in both, or neither, as the minifigure in question is really just a plain goblin.

@kazar Technically I would count a few minifigures as being based off of characters because they appeared in the Ninjago tv series first. For example, the minifigures of Dareth and Misako in Temple of Airjitzu appeared 3 years earlier in the show than they did in the sets.

Tom Kenny also voiced Rocka from Hero factory who has a minifig.

If you filter through the Simpsons (ie look at the second list) that's really interesting and reminded me of quite a few performances that I forgot were actually in minifigure form. Chris Pratt takes the award for most minifigures produced in quick succession though I'd imagine, all in the space of only a year and a half.

Clancy Brown voices Task Master in the Ultimate Spider-Man TV series. Lego's minifig of Task Master is based off the first iteration of his costume from the show (which in turn was inspired by the comics).

The argument could be made that you've left out Sam Witwer at 2 or 3 minifigures:

- Darth Maul (Clone Wars: 75022)
- Vader's Secret Apprentice Galen Marek (Force Unleashed: 7672) - this was a game, but had a licensed set and the character's appearance/performance/voice was based on the actor. Undeniably a Sam Witwer minifigure

Arguable:
- Mandalorian Super Commando (Clone Wars: 75022) and credited as such on IMDB

Mark Hamill voiced The Trickster for the movie Lego Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom and it have a real minifig included. It's the same argument used to Will Arnett's Batman in Lego Movie.

The Joker from Batman And Joker (SDCC 2008 exclusive) definitively is Mark Hamill. It's based on his Joker for Batman: The Animated Series.

I think it's official enough.
He voiced The Joker so many times that he basically is the official Joker voice. Probably there even more sets based on other Batman movies and tv series that he voiced.

He also voiced some Hero Factory: Black Phantom and Von Nebula, but it probably doesn't count as minifigs.

At the very least, he gets a "2" for Grievous.

There needs to be a medium compromise with voice acting. Like giving credit for a production despite the number of characters portrayed in that production. That would give Dee Bradley Baker three credits instead of 11.

James Earl Jones should be listed with 2 according to the "different media" rule:

Darth Vader (Episodes III, IV, V, VI)
Darth Vader (Star Wars Rebels: 75150)

Also missing is SW actor Jack Purvis; who played the Chief Jawa in A New Hope, the Chief Ugnaught in The Empire Strikes Back, and Teebo in Return of the Jedi. Each has a LEGO counterpart.

Cool article, have always wondered this. I think the voice actors are a separate situation, definitely there is more weight behind people who have had actual minifigures modeled after them.

Voice acting doesn't cut it for me. I would have formed the list only with distinctive actors appearing on the stage and not with actors voice-acting some cartoon character (unless said character looks like the actor himself/herself). More closely to your second approach on the list CapnRex101.
