One unhappy Chinese single was desperate to make sure no one else enjoyed Valentine’s Day.

The Shanghai man deliberately booked every other seat in one of the city’s movie theaters, so that couples could not sit together.

He made the bookings at a special February 14 screening of “Beijing Love Story,” reports the Telegraph.

He also encouraged other bitter single people to try and do the same.

The unnamed man — known only by his initials UP — split up with his girlfriend last year. When his original plan to book the seats over the internet failed, he went to the box office.

But when that failed also, he recruited a crowd of like-minded accomplices to pool resources and buy the tickets.

He then bragged about his love-killing deed online.

“Want to see a movie on Valentine’s Day? Sorry, you’ll have to sit separately,” he boasted on an online forum, reports the Telegraph. In the face of growing anger, he said his anti-romance stand was a “small joke”.
