Drop What You’re Doing and Call the Hall & Oates Helpline — Which Is Exactly What You Think It Is

The Internet can be hit-or-miss when it comes to the services it provides and the wide array of resources available — but the Callin Oates helpline, offering up an “emergency Hall & Oates” sound bytes, is very much in the “hit” category.

It’s precisely what it sounds like. Pick up the phone and dial 719-266-2837 and a robo-voice answers, welcoming you to “Callin Oates, your emergency Hall and Oates Helpline,” before offering you a selection of songs made classic by Daryl Hall and John Oates.

When we called, the options available were “One On One,” “Rich Girl,” “Maneater” and “Private Eyes,” though there’s no telling if the options switch up every now and then.

This has apparently been going on for a while now (back to 2011, even!), but it’s just come to our attention today. That seems like wasted time, not being able to experience this before.

So again — if you ever find yourself in need of a little musical pick-me-up — do this. Why wouldn’t you?

And while we have your attention, be sure to watch our exclusive RockCellarTV interview with John Oates, filmed at the legendary Troubadour in West Hollywood, California:

We hope you enjoy our ongoing RockCellar TV entries, and if you do, please feel free to subscribe to our (totally free) email list to be alerted whenever we have a new episode to share!
